Kinferoof is a composition / performance of extemporaneous nature .
Boosted by the natural creative process and with an eye to sound research , started as a joke from one of my sessions of field recordings .
In recent months I'm expanding my daily personal sound archive , focusing on the study of the relationship between matter / sound.
In the session of February 5, 2015 , the goal was recording - test my new technical material
(in this case a microphone hydrophone ) and the study of the responses to water and its processes .
On this day I recorded the thawing process.


The recording has a duration of about 70 minutes and moves in three moments :
a ) Prel
b ) iebsi
c ) urat

All sounds are then converted and processed through music editing software .

Kinferoof è una Composizione/Performance dettata dalla pura improvvisazione.


Spinta dal naturale processo creativo ,con un occhio di riguardo alla ricerca sonora,
nasce come per gioco da una delle mie sessioni di Field Recording.

In questi ultimi mesi sto ampliando quotidianamente il mio archivio sonoro personale, concentrandomi
sullo studio e il rapporto tra materia/suono .

Nella sessione riprese del 5 Febbraio 2015, l’obbiettivo mirava alla registrazione-test di
nuovo materiale tecnico (in questo caso specifico un microfono idrofono) e in riposta come
studio all’ acqua e i suoi processi.
In questa giornata ho tentato il processo di scongelamento,appoggiando il microfono idrofono alla base di un recipiente
di vetro e coprirlo in seguito con cubetti di ghiaccio in modo da registrarne poi il processo di ritorno allo stato liquido.

Per ampliare la gamma di frequenze e risposta al suono in questione,ho aggiungo al set due microfoni a contatto
posizionati sotto al contenitore di vetro ,in modo da captare il risuonare dello ghiaccio che si scioglie nello spazio del recipiente.
Alle maniglie invece,per lo stesso motivo, ho applicato due Mogees (anche questi microfoni a contatto) ma il segnale viene
direttamente processato da un software su smartphone.
Infine intervenivo in questo processo muovendo e cambiando posizioni ai vari cubetti,sia ‘risuonando’ percussivamente
i bordi del contenitore; sia versando a tempi e cadenze diverse dell’acqua da una brocca o da un contagocce.

La traccia ha la durata di circa 70/80 minuti e si muove in tre grandi movimenti:

a) prèl
b) iebsi
c) urat

Tutti i suoni verranno poi convertiti e trattati attraverso software di editing musicale.
